The house, landscape and farm at Wimpole

Successive owners changed Wimpole’s house and surrounding landscape. The estate includes the hall, pleasure gardens, a walled garden, a stable block and a parish church. Home Farm remains a working farm with rare-breed animals. The National Trust describes evidence of settlement around Wimpole from the Bronze Age. That archaeological history sits alongside the estate’s long association with habitation and farming; it does not date the present buildings or farm to the Bronze Age.
