The Thames and its landmarks

Tower Bridge, the London Eye and Shakespeare's Globe are among the landmarks associated with the Thames. They provide starting points for exploring the river's place in London.

Museums with different stories

London's museums include the British Museum, Science Museum, Natural History Museum and Victoria and Albert Museum. The London Transport Museum and Postal Museum explore particular parts of the city's history.

Bloomsbury and Euston Road

The London Borough of Camden was formed in April 1965 from the former boroughs of Hampstead, Holborn and St Pancras. Bloomsbury became associated with writers and artists including Virginia Woolf, and contains the British Museum and university institutions. The British Library building on Euston Road opened in 1998. This is one example of the wider London region's cultural places.
